If you would like to become part of a fun and friendly group of mosaic makers who meet up regularly, whether you are new to mosaics or have previous experience, then weekly workshops are a great way to get involved. You will work at your own pace on your choice of project, with advice and guidance from Jane throughout. Your work-in-progress will be stored in the studio between sessions. Mosaic materials are included and all necessary tools provided, but you will be requested to cover the cost of your base (MDF board for indoors and tile backer board for outdoors which can both be cut into a variety of shapes, terracotta pots, glass vases, polystyrene forms). Or you could choose to bring along your own base material. Current weekly sessions: Mondays 1.30pm - 4pm Wednesdays 9.30am - 12pm and 1.30pm - 4pm. Also 11am - 1.30pm on 2nd Monday of the month. Cost: £20 per person, payable per session.
WEEKEND WORKSHOPS & TASTER SESSIONS
Would you love to give mosaicking a try, but would prefer a one-off workshop, or even a short taster session? These can be organised throughout the year and can be adapted to suit your requirements. You could create a mosaic for indoors or out on a suitable base board, or cover a terracotta planter or polystyrene form. Typically, you could expect to complete a mosaic of approx. 10-15cm x 10-15cm (or equivalent) on a short taster session, or 20-25cm x 20-25cm (or equivalent) on a full-day workshop.
